Answer

Mijn Suunto kompas laat een groeiende luchtbel zien. Ik heb de fabrikant gevraagd welke vloeistof er in zit met het doel het kompas bij te vullen.

The answer I have got was that the compass can not be repaired by myself but has to bring it to an official dealer. Since the new price is around 180 Euro and the repairement likely will cost more than 100 Euro, I have tried to fill the compass by myself.

At the bottom of the compass is "oil filled". In any case, alcohol filler is excluded. On the internet I have read that baby oil or lampoil can be used.

So nothing to lose. I have bought a bottle of transparent lampoil. I also used a medical syringe with needle to refill the compass.
Because of the fact that the oil inside the compass was filled under pressure I put the compass and the oil filled syringe in the refrigerator. After a few hours I unscrewed the crew at the bottom of the compass and refilled the compass with cold oil and put the crew back again.

After a  few hours only a very little bubble was in the compass. I uncrewed carefully the crew and let the air disappear.

Problem was solved! (at least for a few months). Success! Try it yourself on your own risk of course.
